This work represents the connection of a Mayan culture in the area of Belize in combination with two years of gathering portraits of citizens of Belize.
It concerns the deconstruction of the obvious, consumerist identification of a portrait today.
Rejection of a classical approach to the aesthetics of beautiful in a precise visual information of characterization found on a photograph. The accent is in the shapes that make up the entire portrait. This work is an encounter between the experienced history and the history that is just being created.
